Collaborations linking business and art can stimulate the creativity of both. 

Business needs a ready flow of inspirational ideas, allowing it to evolve and thrive, while art can fire the imagination of a whole community – particularly when it has support from the corporate world.

STARTS – St Albans Arts – is a registered charity that has in just three years substantially influenced and broadened the cultural life of St Albans. It presents, promotes and fosters music of many different kinds, art across the spectrum, comedy and drama and much more. It also acts as a cultural focus group for the city.

From autumn 2007, STARTS will have a home of its own in the iconic 19th Century Town Hall building in the centre of the city. Businesses too are invited to enjoy the use of this central, high profile venue.

The newly revitalised building will become the focus for an exciting and innovative programme of activities from cutting edge art to jazz or chamber music, from dance to cinema, from performance poetry to burlesque; the possibilities are endless.

It will also provide the perfect location for functions, corporate, cultural and social, in what will be a truly magnificent setting.

STARTS is keen to forge imaginative links with businesses as the Town Hall becomes a new focus for the arts in St Albans.
